The main technologies involved are Java, J2EE, Vignette Web Services, and SQL Server.

General Manager , SEM
Position Overview:
The General Manager of Search Engine Marketing will drive and direct the execution of SEM campaigns and Search Agency of Record (AOR) relationships. He/She will oversee, and ensure, the health of the overall client management and client service functions as well as the overall operational well-being of the business across units and functional areas within the company, and externally with the client. This role, based in New York, will also have a great amount of input into strategic direction of the business unit. The role most closely interfaces with the Kansas City team, the Sales Team, and the SF office.
Foremost, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the maximization of bottom-line profits of Epic’s SEM division, and reporting on them frequently as part of weekly strategy sessions with the CMO. A majority of the focus will be on servicing AOR relationships for multiple clients, managing a growing overall book of business spanning a wide range of advertisers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage overall Search division P&L, achieving defined revenue and profit targets, and contribute to the strategic direction of the business unit working closely with CMO.

Develop strategies to recruit new partners and to grow the contribution of current partners
Ensure the continued growth and health of the program by monitoring the needs and interests of partners, as well as the status of the affiliate marketing industry. Identify areas of opportunity to develop leading tools, enhancements, and incentives for partners.
Develop overall communications for partners such as the newsletter and Extranet sites and work closely with the Affiliate Coordinator who will execute on direct affiliate communications
Develop strategies for monitoring existing partner compliance with program terms and conditions and identify any fraud and spyware activity
Work with the IT department to resolve any partner backend/tool issues (e.g. datafeeds, web services, reporting) and to coordinate and execute new technical projects
