Facebook Ads: Men Cheaper to Target

In their latest Social Media Insights report, Men Are Cheap: Efficient Gender Targeting with Facebook Ads,  Kenshoo Social and Resolutions Media find that men are cheaper to target to than women. Despite the 58% make up of female Facebook users, only 47% of advertiser budget goes toward targeting women. Why?

  • Facebook ad click volume is 60% for men and 40% for women.
  • Facebook impression volume is 58% for men and 42% for women.
  • The average CPM for males is $0.16; $0.20 for women
