Mobile Messenger Expands Senior Management Team with Experienced Mobile and Direct Marketing Leaders

Mobile Messenger, the leading Mobile Solutions Provider, announced today the appointment of Edward McCormick as senior vice president (SVP), Human Resources and Israel Niezen as senior vice president (SVP), Strategic Marketing and Business Development.  McCormick and Niezen join Michael Iaccarino, Mobile Messenger’s president and CEO, and build on the company’s strong foundation of leadership in mobile technology.

“Ed and Israel have both held key positions at very successful mobile and marketing companies.  They bring many years of leadership and industry expertise to their new roles at Mobile Messenger,” said Michael Iaccarino, president and CEO of Mobile Messenger. “We are dedicated to recruiting top talent and building a team of leaders who will have a tremendous positive impact on the future of our brand and the progress of the mobile industry.”

With the expansion of the management team, Mobile Messenger is positioned to capitalize on growth opportunities in the coming year.  The company’s aggressive development plans include launching new products, embracing new client segments and expanding into new channels.  Despite the economic downturn, Mobile Messenger reported explosive growth in 2009, and executives anticipate additional growth for the fourth quarter and in the year ahead.   

“As the economic climate steadily improves, we’re seeing consumers embrace mobile services and content transactions more than ever before,” continued Iaccarino.  “With our solid team of leaders in place, Mobile Messenger will continue to bring the most innovative mobile products to both consumers and marketers.”

 

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, McCormick will lead talent acquisition and development and implement HR systems to support Mobile Messenger’s staff and executive team.  McCormick has more than 25 years of experience building successful people strategies across industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, technology, marketing and consulting. 

 

Israel Niezen joined the senior executive team to lead Mobile Messenger’s strategic marketing efforts.  In this role, Niezen will work closely with clients and partners to enhance the company’s product and service offerings.  He will also pursue new markets and distribution channels to further broaden Mobile Messenger’s market presence.

About Edward W. McCormick, senior vice president, Human Resources

Most recently, McCormick served as SVP of Human Resources for Epsilon, a marketing technology company based in Dallas with operations in North America, Asia and Europe Prior to Epsilon he operated his own Human Resources consulting business and held multiple leadership roles at companies including Bellsouth Mobility DCS, Alliance Data, Acuity Brands, Frito-Lay and Kraft Foods.  McCormick attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and holds a Masters degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.              

About Israel Niezen, senior vice president, Strategic Marketing and Development
Niezen has a track record of bringing successful new mobile media ventures to market.  Prior to joining the Mobile Messenger team, he directed strategy and business development at Telescope Inc., where he launched solutions to help television brands and advertisers use targeted mobile communications to generate new revenue streams and acquire new customers.  Before Telescope, he held client development roles at mobile media companies Motricity and Goldpocket Wireless, with a focus on promoting, distributing and monetizing mobile content.   Niezen holds an MBA from Harvard and a BS in Finance and International Business from the University of Central Florida.
