Pixel tracking just got more sophisticated and streamlined with the April 1, 2009, release of LinkTrust version 6.0. In this highly anticipated release, LinkTrust partners will see more than 30 new features including improvements in reporting for networks and affiliates, full style sheet control of the affiliate interface and improved filtering.
“Version six brings a variety of new features that are unique to the industry,” said Bret Grow, president of LinkTrust Systems. “We really focused on giving networks the tools they need for high-level affiliate management.”
Grow said networks will see increased productivity with the addition of features like the ability to have tiered affiliates and more targeted reporting.
The development process for version 6.0 also focused on the needs of affiliates. “In this system, we amped up the power of the pixel,” Grow said. Version 6.0 includes pixel piggy-backing through image pixels, server-side pixels, creative reporting, encrypted single-use cookies, and cookieless tracking.
Creating a version of LinkTrust with so many new features was a monumental project for the LinkTrust development team. The team recognized the importance of creating a solid infrastructure designed to elegantly support the powerful features being offered.
“With this latest build, we didn’t just add some bells and whistles, we took the initiative to do a major backbone update to the LinkTrust platform,” Grow said. “We want our system to stay on the cutting edge of technology while meeting the needs of the day-to-day user.”
Along with the update of the LinkTrust platform, LinkTrust licensing has also evolved to meet the needs of our partners and potential partners. The new structure adds two new entry-level licensing options.

Merchant License: This entry-level pixel tracking license is ideal for up-and-coming partners. It allows three pixel campaigns and includes LinkTrust e-mail support, with optional phone/instant messenger support.

Merchant Plus License: In addition to the pixel tracking capabilities of the Merchant License, the Merchant Plus License adds the powerful LinkTrust lead and coreg capture features. It allows three pixel or lead campaigns and includes LinkTrust e-mail support, with optional phone/instant messenger support. This license is currently available on version 5.7, and will be available for version 6.0 in late summer 2009.

Network License (formerly the Standard License): The high-level pixel tracking license provides the same features LinkTrust partners have come to rely on. The Network License entitles partners to unlimited pixel campaigns and full customer support.

Network Plus License (formerly the Corporate License): In addition to the pixel tracking capabilities of the Network License, the Network Plus License adds the powerful LinkTrust lead and coreg capture features. It allows unlimited pixel or lead campaigns and includes full customer support. This license is currently available on version 5.7, and will be available available for version 6.0 in late summer 2009.
