Silicon Valley, CA – July 19, 2007 – Glam Interactive Group has launched a new networking site for the interactive marketing industry. The catch? It’s women only. "The industry is so male-dominated… we wanted to promote the success of women in the space and provide a forum in which to network, share ideas and just generally connect with other women on a professional and personal level," says Jenny Stark, one of the founding members.
The network interface (hosted on the ning.com platform) includes a forum, updates, photos, event listing of upcoming industry trade shows, and member profiles. Members list what they have (sub-prime lists, education offers), and what they want (search publishers, a pharmaceutical offer, a house in the Hamptons…).
The member roster currently includes several dozen women from major companies in the industry. Their first organized event was a networking lunch during Affiliate Summit in Miami, and forth-coming events are already being planned. Contact Gig for more information.
