Our contestants made incredible progress during the first week of the challenge. Scott Richter has dropped an amazing 12 pounds since last week and Jenny Frederick lost an outstanding, but not quite as impressive 6 pounds. This early success has stunned the diet world, with several top-selling diet companies calling and asking for our participants to share their secrets. Scott's Skinless Grilled Chicken with String Beans may be appearing soon in the frozen dinner section of a grocery store near you!
With their off-the-charts performance during the first week, the competitors have started to focus on creating stumbling blocks to put in each other's way. Recently, Jenny got into in her office one morning to find several boxes of fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts on her desk. No one has claimed responsibility for the special delivery, but several likely conspirators have been identified within the office.
Entrants in the Affiliate contest to guess our participants' combined weight loss may also have motivation to influence the results. A well-timed box of Halloween candy or offer of a special dinner at an upcoming trade show could tip the scales on the final weight total and help one of our Affiliates take home the $1,000 prize.
The contest has also been generating tremendous interest from all corners of the Affiliate community. The CPA Empire Blog (www.cpaempireblog.com) is filled with posted comments urging our contestants on to success. At the same time, various respondents have let it be known that they think the stakes are a little low. A recent challenge from Missy Ward and Shawn Collins of Affiliate Summit attempts to make the contest a little more interesting for one of our participants.
