Extraordinary Is A Good Word
by James Carner

Extraordinary is a good word.  It’s a word that you call great people.  I hardly ever call anyone something as special as “extraordinary”.  The person must speak in person or through the phone with integrity, honesty, fun and professional enough to know where to draw the line when it comes to personal and specialized communication and then proving their theories and promises to you.  I have met hundreds of people in this industry and it is my honor to speak to you about an extraordinary man named Paul McDonnell.

I called Paul six years ago on the phone when he was the Sales Director for ROI Network.  I had a campaign with Pre-Paid Legal and I needed all of the leads anyone could provide and more.  Immediately, after a few short minutes on the phone with Paul, we had a contract and we were ready to start mailing.  I was dazzled and intrigued to work with this man because on the phone, I heard that he would do what I requested and with no delays.

Unfortunately, problems arise and his technical department placed CPM campaigns in front of mine without telling Paul.  Paul had me on speaker phone with at least three people yelling at them to get my campaign mailed with no excuses as was promised by them.  Needless to say, once Paul and I were on a closed phone call, his dignity and character bled apologies.  The man held his word, but had no control over the technical staff.  Regardless, we didn’t do too well with ROI Network and I had to move on to others.  But there was something, call it a force of nature; call it fate, that for some reason I would keep in touch with this man as the years progressed.

About a year later, Paul called me from Vayan Marketing Group as the Co-Founder and seemed to be going strong with them.  At that time, The Viral Spiral never had that many campaigns and rarely did business with Vayan, but we did have several articles about the industry written for The Viral Spiral by Warren Corpus, their Vice President at that time.  Today, Vayan Marketing Group is still a strong and valuable company.

Sure enough some time goes by and I got a call from Springfusion.  “Please hold for Paul McDonnell.”  I thought, “What the hell?  He’s calling me AND putting me on hold?  Then a few seconds go by while I am instant messaging other clients leaving him on speaker phone so I could work comfortably, when Paul connects with me.  “James, buddy….”  That voice made me feel comforted.  But most importantly his voice made me forget the “being on hold” .

Paul became the President and Partner for Springfusion in Florida.  We spoke and got right to the point and for about a year did some great business together.  In this lofty equipment of innovative worldly communication, it’s practically a blessing to get someone on the phone direct anymore on the first call.  But with Paul, every time I called, he answered.  Sometimes I thought I was his only customer.  But that’s not true my friends.  Springfusion was one of the largest mailers out there and Paul made that happen.  He grew that company into a multimillion-dollar machine; may it now rest in peace.  Some things unfortunately changed and so without going into the boring details, Paul left Springfusion.

A few months ago, as you may or might know, The Viral Spiral had a substandard issue with Spamhaus and Spamcop thus crippling my newsletter for many months.  I won’t tell you who did this to me because he’s not worth the extra attention.  So I was desperate, barmy but most importantly couldn’t trust anyone.  Then out of the blue, I get this annoying Plaxo card of the normal five I get every day that says Paul McDonnell is updating his information and would like me to update my contact information.

I called Paul and spat out my quandary.  Then, within minutes he beamed and interrupted my sob yarn.  There was no hesitation.  There was no, “I need to make a few phone calls.”  There was no, “Let me think about it.”  There was what felt to me, a glimmer of hope.  Paul said, “James, you’re down and that is NOT acceptable!  Give me a few days and I’ll have you rocking and rolling, ok?”  So guess what happened?  This humble friend of mine did what he said he would and I was up and running within two days, in addition he negotiated with Spamhaus and Spamcop to erase me from their files.

So basically, six years after meeting Paul McDonnell and thousands upon thousands of dollars in great business here and there, Paul has now become the new sponsor for The Viral Spiral Newsletter.  I am forever in debt and highly grateful to him.  Paul has started his own venture.  I Global Direct Media, LLC  They cater mostly to the top fortune 500 clientele and perhaps to some or most of your clients.  His company is growing fast and is eager to meet people like you.

Oh, and by the way, not only is Paul an internet marketing entrepreneur, he also dabbles a little in US Politics thus personally knowing some of the most important leaders in the Government.  Consequently on Thursday December 15th 2005, Paul attended the IT Florida Awards Ceremony in Orlando Florida which covered speeches by Florida's Governor Jeb Bush (that’s Paul with Jeb) and the President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez Reyna on subjects like Disaster Recovery, Information Security and Regulatory compliance.  I had to mention this.  Paul is witty and has his fingers in everything!

If you are seeking a trusted chic partner to facilitate your company’s needs who will always answer his phone when you call and turn a quick profit for you, I recommend Paul McDonnell of I Global Direct Media, LLC.  Throughout the years, this important man has always been by The Viral Spiral’s side and has always offered support when he could, regardless if he’s in the middle of something.  Get to know him!  Give him a call.

Paul McDonnell is the Founder & CEO of I Global Direct Media, LLC and can be reached at paul@iglobaldirectmedia.com or by phone at 561-309-0064
