A little more than a week ago, the House passed a “tough” anti-spyware law. That it did, or was considering such an act, didn’t come as much of a surprise and is perhaps the reason why little industry press has been dedicated to its passage.

In June of 2004, the anti-spyware bill called "Securely Protect Yourself Against Cyber Trespass Act" (SPY Act: HR 2929) was voted on in the energy Commerce Committee.
